Tom Hallett, Senior Partner at HWW, had a trial last month on charges of Elevated Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Assault in Portland.  His client was acquitted on the Elevated Aggravated Assault charges, the most serious of the charges, but was found guilty of Aggravated Assault.

Attorney Hallett filed for a Motion for New Trial on the Aggravated Assault conviction, arguing that the jury instructions were improper.  Today, the Court granted the Motion for New Trial, and the Aggravated Assault conviction has been reversed.
