Athena Lavigne

Athena Lavigne is a criminal defense paralegal who joined Hallett Whipple Weyrens in 2007, after serving as a clerk at the Cumberland County Superior Court.  She is the paralegal to Partner Michael Whipple and has worked with him since 2007. Athena earned her bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies from Husson College in 2010, and earned the distinction of Certified Paralegal from the National Association of Legal Assistance (‘NALA') in 2022.  She is one of only 84 NALA Certified Paralegals in the State of Maine. Athena has over 15 years of legal experience both as a court clerk and paralegal, which makes her an invaluable resource for all of Hallett Whipple Weyrens' clients. 

Athena resides in Buxton, with her husband and two children.  Athena is active in her community as a little league coach for the past five years and flag football assistant coach for the past two years.  Coaching is a passion for her and has allowed her to recently become the director of a local travel softball organization. She enjoys time with family doing outdoor activities including snowmobiling, ATVing, hiking, and camping.
